As suspected, the motorcade drove toward Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va.
The trip was unremarkable down 66 and then up the Dulles Toll Road, with light traffic.
President Trump split off from the two press pool vans at 10:10, a mile from the golf club. We are holding at a nearby Italian restaurant. There are no details yet on Trump's planned activities.
I did not personally see the president as he left the White House, but a pool photo showed him wearing a white MAGA hat and a white or gray pullover.
