Pool did not see the president. We are holding one floor below the glittering lobby of the Trump International Hotel, in the Patton Room. It's a lovely setup.

The president reportedly is appearing [ %3ehttps:/www.politico.com/story/2018/05/29/trump-fundraiser-super-pac-611594%3c ]at the America First Actions leadership summit, held by a Super PAC that supports his campaign. Per Politico: Donors will need to pony up at least $100,000 to attend; VIP status will be at least $250,000.

The White House has provided this statement on the president's remarksto the House Republican Conference:

The President spoke to the House Republican conference on a range of issues. In his remarks, he endorsed both House immigration bills that build the wall, close legal loopholes, cancel the visa lottery, curb chain migration, and solve the border crisis and family separation issue by allowing for family detention and removal. He told the members, Im with you 100%. Raj Shah, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary.

Note that House Homeland Security Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas told the pool (see pool report #12) that Trump stated he was supportive "a thousand percent" -- a percentage that McCaul repeated several times.

The president strode with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy as he left the Capitol. Photographers also spotted John Kelly and Stephen Miller walking behind them, among others.
