Subject: Travel pool report #3 — arrival and Syria news
AF1 touched down at Palm Beach International at 11:58 am.
The flight was uneventful. No sign of POTUS during the flight.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders popped by the press cabin as we were taxiing. She announced that the territorial ISIS caliphate has been 100 percent eliminated in Syria. She directed reporters to DOD for additional information. She showed reporters a map of Syria. Will send a pic.
She said acting DOD secretary Shanahan is on the plane and briefed the president on the way. She also said Lighthizer and Mulvaney traveled with the president.
